HDTC also
offers advanced obedience classes for those interested in
competitive obedience or Rally obedience. Rally
Obedience
Our Rally Obedience classes are held on
Wednesday nights starting. Contact
the instructor for more information or to register.
Novice
An on-going class, held on Tuesday nights at 8:15 for those
interested in showing in obedience trials at the Novice level.
This class concentrates on attention work, heeling, fronts &
finishes, stays, and foundational work to prepare the dog and
handler for beginning competition and for continuing on to the upper levels of obedience
competition.
Open
An on-going class held on Tuesday nights at 8:15 for those who
have laid their Novice foundation and are ready for Open level
training: jumping, retrieving, out-of-sight stays, etc.
Utility
Held the second, fourth Mondays of the month at 7:00. For those ready for Utility training: scent articles,
directed jumping, hand signals, etc.
All
classes require a demonstrated proficiency of some foundation
and/or higher level training.
