HDTC also
offers advanced obedience classes for those interested in
competitive obedience or Rally obedience. Rally
Obedience
Rally is the stepping stone into competition obedience or
agility. Rally Novice classes are all on-lead and held on
Wednesday nights at 8:15. Call our registrar to sign up
(513-665-6748). Must have been through our Level 2 class or
equivalent. Novice
An on-going class, held on Monday nights at 8:15 for those
interested in showing in obedience trials at the Novice level.
This class concentrates on attention work, heeling, fronts &
finishes, stays, and foundational work to prepare the dog and
handler for beginning competition and for continuing on to the upper levels of obedience
competition.
Open/Utility
OPEN:
An on-going class held on Tuesday nights at 8:15 for those who
have laid their Novice foundation and are ready for Open level
training: jumping, retrieving, out-of-sight stays, etc. For those ready for Utility training:
Monday at 7:00 (when we don't have meetings scheduled) scent articles,
directed jumping, hand signals, etc. will be covered.
All
classes require a demonstrated proficiency of some foundation
and/or higher level training.
